"Minimalist Landscapes" depicts landscape abstractions through narrow focal lengths and subject matter. There is a sense of figure/ground ambiguity between formal elements. These compositions make use of the natural flattening qualities of photography to shift planes and blend in the surroundings. The minimal style of these pieces risk being boring to the viewer. In order to add some visual interest, there are a few formal elements high in the frame with a large foreground area with some level of visual texture.
