"Pictorialist Landscapes" is an intimate look into otherwise overlooked scenes through a surreal window. These photographs depict various juxtapositions of nature and man-made influences. By using glass work and a unique visual process to reduce detail and color information, the images become dreamlike, a little romantic, and somewhat haunted. This is achieved primarily through the serendipitous distortions from the glass and the use of desaturated and toned color. A great deal of artistic meaning has been injected into these pieces through glass plate work, obscure angles, and printing processes.
